Being one of three design assistants, I helped create an imaginative, site specific performance piece at Woelly Castle. The set mainly consisted of puppets and objects brought to life in front of ruins of the castle. For this reason the props and puppets were given a rustic look, using neutral colours to fit in with the environment. We created a number of animal puppets, mainly by carving into foam, latex moulds for the pigs faces and willow for the bodies. We used garden baskets, chicken wire and clay to create the witch's masks  before covering them in brown papers, fabrics and found materials.
